Smile as you say the brachos of the Shemoneh Esrei. Or maybe just the first three and last three - another viz may be more appropriate for the request brachas in the middle.
The inspiration for this was the sight of a rabbi at a chasuna who, with a smile on his face, made a slow, intense bracha over a piece of celery (possibly it was some other vegetable). If a smile could be applied in that situation, why not in the Shemoneh Esrei? Or with most any other bracha?
